School's (almost) out for the summer, and Admiral Collingwood Elementary School is inviting the community over for a schoolyard party to celebrate.

The annual Sail Into Summer Festival happens this Thursday, June 20 from 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the school, and will include food, games, treats, and dancing.

Entry is free but food and treats are available for sale, cash only. The food trucks will include Misfits Hospitality, Pita Pit, Dal Roti and Party Time Treats. There will also be snow cones, cotton candy, and popcorn.

There will be giant inflatable play structures, backyard games, and a Groove Dancing dance party. Access to the inflatables is $15 per child (cash), and children who haven't started Kindergarten can play on the inflatables for free.

Open to the community, the event also serves as a fundraiser for the school with a silent auction featuring a one-year supply of bread, tickets to the Honda Indy, a pair of Blundstones, massage treatments, hair salon gift cards, and more.

Funds raised at the event go to literacy and language resources for students. The festival is the school council's biggest fundraiser of the year.

Admiral School Council would like to thank the generous support of local businesses for their donations to the silent auction and sponsorships for inflatables.
